Trading before the regular session opens at 9:30 AM Eastern Time. It can start as early as 4:00 AM. Fewer people trade then, so prices can swing more and the gap between buy and sell prices is often wider. A pre-market price hints at where a stock may open, but it can change before the open. Here, Live mode lets you trade stocks pre-market but not options.
