Drawdown

How far a price has fallen from its highest point. If a stock peaked at $100 and now trades at $80, it is in a 20% drawdown. A stock or fund can stay below its old high for months or years. The Daily Read measures it from the highest close of the last 52 weeks.

Example:

The high was $50 and the price is now $40: a 20% drawdown.
